Freamhaigh Review

The Red-Headed Book Lover has graced me again, this time with a review of Freamhaigh. Honestly, this woman humbles me with her praise. So, of course, I have to tell everyone! Click here to read the review.

Here are my favourite lines from her review:

Many comparisons could be made to world-renowned books and tv shows because Freamhaigh and the previous three books are of the same high standard.

and

Freamhaigh can easily be compared to Game of Thrones and even the Lord of the Rings series because they all have one thing in common: an entertaining, well-developed story that will make readers lose sleep because of how gripping the story is!

Wow. That’s praise I can get behind!

Let me know if you agree.

Stoc: Review

The Red-Headed Book Lover has reviewed my third novel and once again she humbles me with her praise. It’s fun to read a great review and I hope you can enjoy her words as much as I do. Click Here to go to the review.

Writing is such a passion for me. I often get asked how do I do it, or how do I get my ideas. I can’t answer that because it just comes so naturally. I live lost in my imagination most of the time – and I suspect everyone does this – I watch the world and think “what if this happened, or that happened?” Writing for me is just an extension of that. I find it so easy to write that it truly is a pleasure.

Another Wonderful Review

The Red-Headed Book Lover has written another five star review of one of my New Druids series novels: Craobh, Volume 2.

Head over and check out her wonderful website. She reviews all sorts of novels and I’m inordinately pleased she finds my novels acceptable. Nothing pleases an author more than to read a positive review. It empowers me and leaves me wanting to write more for my readers.

Thanks Aimee Ann!

Review Request Campaign

Reviews Needed

I’ve started a massive book review campaign. Over the next several days I will be mass emailing potential readers to one, read my novels, and two, kindly leave a review. If you’ve received an email from me, it’s honest, and hopefully not annoying.

Independent authors are dependent on reviews. See the irony there? Can’t write that stuff. If you’ve read my novels please take the time to leave a review on Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Goodreads, or wherever you like. They make a massive difference on visibility and sales. Reviews lead to greater prominence on Amazon, and that leads to more sales, and more sales leads to me writing more.

As an aside, I used to have many more five star reviews for my first novel, Duilleog. Inexplicably Amazon took down about 5 of them. No warnings or reasons provided. I’ve since read many explanations but nothing makes sense to me. It is annoying.

Inspirations

You probably won’t believe me but there comes a moment whilst writing when great ideas and storyline events happen and the world lines up and you are pretty impressed with yourself. That’s why I write – for those moments. Doesn’t matter how well you outline – something new and wonderful will come to mind and next thing you know you’re immensely happy with yourself.

Update on Stoc

I’m sorry to admit that I am severely behind with Volume 3 of the New Druids series. I am still fully employed in the military and work is draining me at the moment. I’m trying to make a change in my work and life and that has my focus. End of summer is my goal for release. Certainly by mid-August. I’m pleased with the story and the outline and the writing is much easier this third time around. It’s now all about getting ink on paper (or bits on screens) and forming sentences, paragraphs, chapters, and worlds. I’ll be in PEI this summer fishing on a lake [yes, there are lakes in PEI] and I expect to crunch out the remainder of the novel.

Ciao!
