Stoc: Review

The Red-Headed Book Lover has reviewed my third novel and once again she humbles me with her praise. It’s fun to read a great review and I hope you can enjoy her words as much as I do. Click Here to go to the review.

Writing is such a passion for me. I often get asked how do I do it, or how do I get my ideas. I can’t answer that because it just comes so naturally. I live lost in my imagination most of the time – and I suspect everyone does this – I watch the world and think “what if this happened, or that happened?” Writing for me is just an extension of that. I find it so easy to write that it truly is a pleasure.

Stoc wins Gold!

I am very pleased to announce that my third novel in the New Druids series, Stoc, has won the GOLD award in the Dan Poynter’s Global eBook Awards 2018 (GeBA) in the category Fantasy, Other Worlds.

This marks the third award from the organisation for my novels, Duilleog won GOLD in 2016, Craobh one BRONZE in 2017, and now another GOLD for Stoc.

Thanks to Dan Poynter’s GeBA and the judges. You honour me. And congratulations to the other winners.

Stoc Launch

Stoc: Volume Three

Hard to believe a year’s worth of effort is now up for sale on Amazon. Stoc is the third novel in my series and starts to really flush out the world and issues that have been building since book one. I have a good feeling about my series. A good feeling in that I believe sales will increase and I gain more readers and followers. It really is a good epic fantasy series and I believe it will resonate with fantasy readers. If you haven’t bought it yet then please do! The first novel is available for free on Instafreebie. Try it out!

The book launch was last week on Thursday. Many thanks to C.L. Cannon and the other authors who had a good laugh at me trying out figure out what was going on. I had no idea what I was doing and struggled to be “interesting”. Next time I will do better. I promise!

Courtney has announced the winners of the raffle-copter prizes. The winners of the $10 USD Amazon gift cards are Brandy D., Sarah R., and Alyssa D., and the winner of my entire New Druids series eBooks is Sandy M. Congratulations to you all! All prizes have been sent.

Stoc Released on Amazon

Stoc: Volume Three

Great news! Stoc is now live for purchase on Amazon! I released the novel last night and pushed the final build to Amazon. I’ve got the novel up on my Kindle and it looks great!

The paperback version will be out as soon as I can finish the work and approve the proof. This usually takes me about 3-4 weeks. It is easier now than with my first novel. It just requires a little patience on my part and a goodly amount of time in Word making the formatting perfect. By the way, Stoc clocks in at almost exactly 100,000 words (I’m shy by seven words). This puts the novel at my least amount of words but honestly, I think that is the perfect amount of words.

I am truly very pleased with Stoc. It tells the story of the struggle Will has in coming to terms with what his draoi can do and what he is being asked to do by those who wish to return the land back to the original monarchy. I hope you enjoy!

In other news, I have started Freamhaigh, Volume Four! It will come out as soon as I can write it but likely in early 2018. It never seems to end! The outline is started and the story I always envisaged is starting to come close to completing. Two more novels I think: Freamhaigh and then Cill Darae. Five is a perfect number for a series. Don’t you think? Any more than that and I get annoyed as a reader.

Meanwhile, I am in Portsmouth, England. I am enjoying the English fare and the weather which has been lovely. I will need to go on a diet when I get home on Thursday.

Lastly, please come check out the launch party tonight. It starts at 5 pm EST with me kicking it off and talking about Stoc and the New Druids Series. There will be prizes!
