Stoc: Volume Three

I want to provide a quick update on the status of Stoc, Volume 3 of the New Druids series. I have now completed my first revision and I am close to finishing my second revision. Overall, I am extremely pleased with Stoc. Final revision starts on the weekend and I will be able to put the final version up prior to release on August 31st. The paperback version will follow soon after.

Stoc is out in an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) thanks to C.L. Cannon, my publicist. I’ll send her an updated copy soon before reviews happen.

Here’s the blurb from Amazon:

The Draoi school has formed and Will and Nadine Arbor have begun to expose their powers to the realm of Belkin.

Lord Protector John Healy has made a deal with a foreign force to secure his base of power. Turgany will initiate a civil war that will drive Will to have to decide how his draoi can protect the harmony in the Realm.

Gaea, Erebus and the Church will come together in direct conflict, the result of which will determine the future for all. All life in Belkin teeters in the balance. Only Will and the draoi can hope to save the world.

Return to Turgany County and the realm of Belkin. A quiet land now in open rebellion against a tyrant and powers beyond understanding.

This is a story of how one young man and his students will change the world.

This is the third volume in the award winning New Druids series. Duilleog is the first volume, and Craobh is the second volume. Both novels are gold and bronze medal winners in the Global eBook Awards for 2016 and 2017, respectively.

Pick up your pre-sale copy today so you have this latest chapter in your hands as soon as it is released.

Edit: I forgot to mention, my website moved quite painlessly over to my Canadian host. Huzzah!

Changing Web Host

19 Aug

After receiving an over 300% increase in my web hosting service renewal costs I have opted to abandon my current service and move to a Canadian based hosting service. I started this website while I was living in the USA. This is my first renewal and it makes sense to move the site to Canada.

Plus, I go from $250 USD for three years to $125 CAD for three years. A no brainer. I’ve never “moved” a domain before and hope this process is seamless and all my current website content remains intact.

I am hoping Web Hosting Canada provides better speeds than this current host. There was always a delay in processing the web pages. I apologise in advance if there are any hiccups.

GeBA Bronze Award 2017

13 Aug

I am pleased to announce that my second novel, Craobh, is the winner of the BRONZE medal in the  Dan Poynter’s Global eBook Awards (GeBA) 2017 in the category of Fantasy/Other Worlds. Craobh is the second novel in the New Druids series. If you haven’t read my two novels, please do so. And leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads!

Last year I won GOLD in the same category for my first novel, Duilleog.

Thanks to the judges over at Dan Poynter’s. You honour me, again.

Stoc: Revision Edit

Stoc: Volume Three

I’ve been working ten to twelve hour days this week since Monday (today is Thursday) focused on the revision edit of Stoc. A revision edit (not sure if that’s a real term or not – it’s what I use) is my second pass through the novel. It allows me to discover flaws and correct typos and the like. Essentially I am reading the novel for the first time. I’ve given myself until August 15th to complete this critical revision.

Once that is complete it will be sent out as an ARC.

After that comes the final revision. I love the final revision. It’s when the novel is polished.

Big shout out to my goofy dog Woody who has been bugging me non-stop at home while I do the revision work.
